What are some of your favorite childhood memories? If you're anything like me, then the answer includes running around in your backyard with a big bubble wand until all of the soap was gone. I'm sure it's no surprise to find out that this is one of my kids' favorite things to do as well! To keep them entertained on those long summer days at home, we make these DIY bubbles with water, corn syrup, and dish soap. It's so simple and there's no need for expensive store-bought solutions when you have these three simple ingredients at home! Ready? Let's get started.
Add 2 cups of warm water to a bowl (not boiling; like warm bath water)
Add 1/4 cup of corn syrup.
Add 1/3 cup of dish soap.
[Optional] add a few drops of food coloring for some colorful fun!
Mix ingredients together until evenly dispersed. Store in a closed container.
Note: The corn syrup helps make the bubbles more durable! I suggest medium sized bell jars for storage. This recipe filled three of those jars.
Let me know if you give it a try!
